IHO’s 40th Anniversary Celebration a Great Success!
Thank you to all who helped us celebrate our 40th Anniversary “Live. Dream. Thrive!” event held on March 2nd at the uniquely beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. The event was a great success and we were thrilled to welcome over 165 guests from a variety of industries across our region. Your valuable contributions generated over $90,000 earmarked for IHO’s Resident Services and Economic Self-Reliance program fund which enables us to truly transform lives and invest in the success of the residents and communities we serve.
The event highlighted award presentations to several profound individuals and organizations within the industry including: IHO Legacy Award recipients – Mary Watson Ph.D. (IHO Immediate Past Board (President) and Dan McQuaid (OneOC); IHO Community Partner Award recipients – Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC), LISC Los Angeles, and Orange County Veterans and Military Families Collaborative (OCVMFC); and IHO Visionary Award recipients – Phillip A. Washington (LA Metro CEO) and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Melody Winter Head (Regional Manager, Community Development) accepting the award.
Senator Josh Newman, 29th District, presented IHO with Senate Certificate of Recognition in honor of our 40 year celebration and commitment to serving the communities of Southern California. The evening closed with inspiring words and art from keynote Phil Hansen, TED speaker and author of “Embrace the Shake”, who shared how he transformed his life through creativity and innovation, drawing parallels to the business setting.
Thank you to our key sponsors – Pacific Western Bank, CIT OneWest Bank, and US Bank, as well as our entire breadth of sponsors, supporters, and donors. With deep gratitude, Thank You! …We’re just getting started!
A Message from the Board President
When I first became associated with IHO several years ago, I was amazed that this small organization had such big dreams! But, IHO’s indomitable spirit is contagious, and its board, advisors and staff are united in its mission. Through creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation, IHO’s team has accomplished everything it has set out to do. We thank everyone involved in the 40th Anniversary Celebration for your participation, partnership, and financial support as we embark on our next 40-year legacy of building pathways to promising futures, serving those most in need.
We know great things are ahead!
