Celebrating its Grand Opening on August 2, 2018, Parc Derian Apartments in the city of Irvine is IHO’s latest permanently affordable housing community. This new 80-unit permanent supportive housing (PSH) property, developed in partnership with C&C Development, boasts amenities that far exceed many of its market-rate neighbors. Parc Derian is now home to a diverse population of working families, veterans, formerly homeless, and developmentally disabled residents. Through IHO’s Economic Self-Reliance programs, a robust menu of services are being provided to all adult residents such as family services, nutrition and wellness, community engagement, and workshops in financial literacy and professional development.
IHO’s Board Chair, Avi Shah, stated “Our job is not to complain about the difficulties in building affordable housing, it is to get it done by overcoming the challenges. This is only possible because of the various entities and individuals that have come together to make this happen.”
